Photos from our Home

Hello,
It has been almost a month since I last blogged, this is due in most part to my lack of internet, but more on that later

I wanted to share with you some photos from our new home.
It’s such an exciting time, I feel like I have just have a baby or something  & everyone is keen to see it !! Lots of people have contacted me asking how the move went & what the new place was like, I thought it would be easier to post these photos & give you some insight to how we’re travelling

Let's begin with some pretty things from around our home ! These beautiful yellow lily's were bought by M, apparently they only cost $4.99 from Aldi, who knew you could even get flowers from there !! The pink roses are from our neighbor, she is a little old lady who has a community garden & always gives me roses from there, they smell lovely too ! We're really lucky to have such nice people around us :) I love having 'fresh' things in our home, fresh fruit, flowers & our fish !! These little guys are so happy & constantly swimming around, their tank is a Fluval Chi which doubles as a water feature because the filter runs through the top & creates a trickling sound over the rocks. It is such a relaxing sound & watching the fish is soothing too. Just like Nigella's cooking mmmmmhm

Some more pretty things ! I adore these plastic tumblers from Costco, they were cheap but are so cute !! Especially when M has 'the boys' over...if they get tipsy or a bit over zealous when playing Xbox they can't break 'em, which is a benefit !! In the middle picture is one of my jewelry drawers, we have the Hemnes 8-draw unit in White Gloss from Ikea in our bedroom, it's so pretty & handy !! I love it when storage & aesthtics combine :) To continue our foray into prettiness, these apothocary jars are for our bathroom (once it's renovated) I'm planning on putting cotton eye makeup removal pads in the tall one & bath bombs in the curvy one (lush haul pleassssse)

If your boyfriend wants to buy Lakers coloured towels, just say NO !! They result in purple fluff everywhere, like in ever single place !! Something that doesn't attract mess is our beautiful Hemnes bookcase ! We've been using it as a place to display things as well as store books, see if you can spot my very favorite book :) Ohhh and thats my Babushka carafe, i love love love it !! I almost look forward to getting thirsty during the night, just so i can use it

We've been doing so much DIY work lately, just a tip for when building Ikea furniture YOU MUST BE ANAL, hahahaha !! It's actually pretty easy to build their stuff, we also redid our wardrobe. On the first weekend after we moved in M went to get a hoodie & noticed the whole rail had fallen down !! Kind of a problem, so we went to our new favorite shop Masters & bought a whole new interior for like $120...i'm planning on a blog post to detail their awesome range ! Anyway, as you can see our closet is now all organised & lovely !!

Lastly, this is our spare room / study, its a bit fugly at the moment but i have big plans to organise it this long weekend !!

Hope you enjoyed this post, i cant wait to show you more & more of our house as it comes together
Peace xx

Valentine's Love

Happy super-duper delayed Valentines Day !!

You may have noticed that i've already posted this 'post' like 14 times !! Well i was having technical difficulties...i couldn't get the photos to display in a row, turns out i needed to use a table thingy, with spacing & the like.

So far, so good !! If anyone has any pro blogger tips, i would love to hear them
Enough of this HTML nerd fest, & onto the Valentines day photo-fest !!

My Valentines Day started after dinner on the 13th, i set about baking some 'conversation heart' cookies for M ! As he is a massive laker fan, i made them light purple with yellow piping, i used candy melts which are the greatest ! Except the yellow colour, i couldn't for the life of me get them to melt...they just went weird & crumbly ??

I though i was so sneaky !! I turned up at his house before work & hand delivered them, he was so surprised :) love making an impression like that
Have you ever noticed how cute boys are in the morning ? I think its because they look so innocent.

I stayed at M's for a little, we had some cereal together & a bit of a cuddle before work, when i was leaving i felt so smug...like i was the best valentine for pulling the 'surprise' card, i went straight to a morning meeting at work. As i was wondering back to the office after picking up the mail & oogling all the flowers at the florist, i wasn't really paying attention but on the end of my desk was an amazing bouquet of flowers !! My favorite flowers are lily's, my favorite colour is pink & M's favorite colour is yellow, for the arrangement he picked was a perfect reflection of us !

I was so surprised, M has given me flowers many times in the past, but never had them delivered ! I wasn't expecting it, but i loved it

Of course i called him straight away & said thankyou...he asked me which were my favorite flowers in the bouquet, i said 'none' !! Poor kid sounded a little sad, so i clarified telling him that the card was my favorite part, cause it honestly was

Boys can be so cute !!

Later than night M gave me my 'real' present, it was a laker jersey lol
I always whine that i don't have one & he has like 19, so he bought me a youth sized one, it's the closest to a perfect fit on me & i love it !! I wrapped his present in some lovely pink paper, complete with ribbon & stars !!

He had been hanging out for these laker DVD's (which were actually a fallback present when his proper V'day present didn't arrive from ye olde eBay in time)

When he turned up at my house, he brought with him noodle's !! A little bit of vegetarian Char Kiuw Chew is the way to my heart, they were so delicious. I had the best Valetine's Day, it really was a day i spent appreciating & celebrating the fantastic man i have in my life, for the past 2 years we have gone away for Valentine's but i'm glad we got to spend this year together, eating, laughing & watching TV, just relaxing & happy enjoying each others company !

^ Said noodles & my super witty Valentine's Card

That was my day/night !! Just incase no-one's asked you yet, how was your Valentine's day ??

love love

Floriade !

Heidi Ho Bloggers !!

So this long weekend we went to floriade, down in ye olde Canberra
The weather was super gross the day we got there, so we went to the casino (major letdown) had pizza's & watched 'Honey i Shrunk the Kids'

This morning i woke up to b-e-a-uuuutiful weather, clear sky's and even sunshine !
I went for a short stroll to pick up a latte & hot chocolate for M & I, then we were bound for Floriade
